To close it, press out any excess air, roll up the closure and click in the four buckles. You can carry the bag as a backpack with the padded shoulder straps, for example, without the closure on the back getting in the way. Or you can connect the shoulder straps with a hook-and-loop fastener and carry it in your hand. If you don't need the shoulder straps, take them off.
