Product Description Shimano SH-GE500 - grippy, comfortable MTB shoes for clipless pedals Shimano designed the SH-GE500 shoes, called GE5 for short, for downhill and enduro use with clipless pedals. A breathable mesh upper with skater-style lacing and additional strap provides a snug fit and comfort. Equipped with a less stiff, but very grippy Ultread GE outsole, the shoes support bike control. A long pedal channel optimises stability even when unclipped. A TORBAL 2.0 midsole plate, which is firm in the centre and flexible on the sides, additionally improves feedback in high-speed descents and corners. To increase pedalling efficiency, the cleats have been positioned in the midfoot area. A medium high foam insole cushions shocks. To protect your feet, the upper is raised on the inside of the ankle and the sole is raised on the side.
